Looking for Local Septic & Well Inspection Services in Your Area?

Are you selling your home? Are you buying a home? We are certified to evaluate the water well and septic system associated with the home you are buying or selling.

We will take the time to properly evaluate your septic system and inform you of any findings.  We think it is important to let you know all of the details of your septic systems, septic tanks, and their overall operation, especially if this is your future home.

Our Septic System Inspection Process

We are service providers for all types of septic systems in Ohio.  Regulations over the years require owners to have their septic system inspected annually or semi-annually and be reported to the local health district.  This evaluation allows you to know the condition of your system and help you prepare for any repairs or pumping that may be needed to keep your system properly functioning.  An annual service agreement with a service provider is a requirement in the State of Ohio now; we can keep you compliant.

The typical things that we do during septic inspections:

  • Evaluate the location and major components of the septic system

  • Determine the level of sludge in your system and let you know when your system needs to be pumped ( it should be pumped when 25% of capacity is sludge )

  • Clean off the membrane inside (if applicable)

  • Clean the air filter for the compressor ( if applicable)

  • Check breakers and controls

  • Check lids for all components to make sure they are secure

  • Inspect the “T” in the septic tank system

  • Clean effluent filters

  • Check wiring and plug connections

  • Test the fault system

  • Evaluate the dispersal system ( mound, spray, leach field, distribution boxes, etc.)

  • Take samples of wastewater for discharging systems

  • Look for anything that does not seem to be normal and bring it to the attention of the homeowner.

Why are septic system inspections so important?

A malfunctioning septic system is never a fun problem and a well and septic system are very costly to replace. We want to do our best to inform you of their present condition and any worrisome areas. Our staff member will look things over, let you know what is going on, answer any questions you may have, and tell you of any concerns that we may find during our septic inspections.

If there are any issues, we have the ability to provide needed services, including having your septic tank pumped, making any needed repairs, replacing system components, or even replacing any septic system.  We will also suggest a quality water well contractor to you should you need those services.
